Introduction:

A major person who contributed to history was Oliver O. Howard. Oliver O. Howard was a white man who noticed a racial problem that was separating our nation. The problem was that people from different races were not getting the same education as everyone else, for an example some were able to learn more than others because they were well supplied with the materials they needed in order to receive a good education. So after he noticed the racial problem he created an African American school called Howard University, which allow everyone to receive the same education.
