NHD Reflection:

After my second experience during NHD I was glad that it was over. I worked with Shani Amos and Kenya McQueen for NHD and we did an exhibit board. We started off by doing Oliver O. Howard but we decided to change it to Kimora Lee Simmons because she was more interesting and when we first started NHD teachers said pick a topic that was interesting to you. We did not change our topic until the last minute but we still were able to get it done and completed on time. When I said the last minute I mean that our annotations was already done for Oliver O. Howard so we had to do another 30 for Kimora Lee Simmons.

By changing my topic I was happy because I think that it was a more successful project because we were able to have some information for each section on the exhibit board. When we were doing Oliver O. Howard we could not find much information on him but him being in different wars and him creating Howard University. With Kimora Lee Simmons we were able to get information on her modeling career, her company Baby Phat, her T.V. show ‘’Life in the Fab Lane’’, so we were able to get more information. I think that thinks was better topic.

I think that my project was better this year because I turned in all my research on time and I worked more on it this year then last year. I think that my project was good last year even if worked on it by myself but I think it is better to work in a group because you are more motivated because it is not just your grade it is your group grade. I think that Kimora Lee Simmons shows that it does not matter who you are or when you come from you can accomplish anything if you’re motivated to achieve your goals.
