Reflection: Thursday

On Thursday we all start to gather the names of book publishers that we would like to write letters to so the can donate book to our school. So we just went on different web sires to find the different types of book and the publisher’s names so we can have books the children would like to read. I also found a list of the names of publishers from a-z.

My plans for Thursday May 15 meeting:

On May 15th I plan on finishing dust and placing the rest of the book on the shelf in the closet. When I am finished that I will start looking up people to donate book or go through the books on the shelf. I think that these web sites: Amazon.com, ebay.com and google.com because on Amazon and eBay you can look up different book and get the author name then google to look up the author and see if they could donate some books.

Reflection: May 9, 2008

Having a chance to do service learning I learn that our library need a lot of work because we need new books that the students would like to read, the old and dirty looking book need to be removed from the shelf and we have to take the books out of the closet to dust them off and place them on the shelf. During service learning I did not learn anything about myself that I did not know. If I was in charge of the group we would rotate the things that we do like putting to stickers on the books, going through the old books, dusting off the books in the closet and writing letters to get books donated because we need different ideas for the type of books we would like in the library.

Service Learning: Plans for thursday meeting

On Thursday we will plan to start cleaning the books because we did get a chance to start on the last meeting because someone came to talk to us and said that if we owe any books we barrowed from the libary and did not return. When we are done cleaning the book I plane on placing them neatly on the shelf. Then start gathering new book to bring in.
