The cat in the hat has 4 main characters that each represents something different. So lets find who is who. Here is one of the characters I will revel is the cat who represent the id. Sally and the narrator who represents the ego. Who are the characters and all that is left is the fish who represent the superego.
First of all the cat represents the id because when the story started the cat was breaking all the rules. When he first came in the house the cat had a smile because he just wanted to have fun. But he started to break the rules when he played the game up up up with the fish, and have no fear said the cat which means that he wasn’t going to hurt the kids and he had much tricks. One trick he did was juggled the two books and the fish which lead to him dropping everything and making a big mess. In id follows his own rules and thinks about him-self. Because he was breaking all the rules and making a mess. The fish represent the super-ego because the fish was the moral part of the story. To sum it, up in the cat there are 4 main characters. The cat stands for the id and the narrator and sally stand for the ego. The fish represents the super-ego. Now that you know who is who and what each stand for. Now you tell me which one are you?
Secondly, Sally and the narrator represent the ego because when the story started they were bored then the at came and wanted to have fun until the fish wanted the cat to leave and the kids were trying to consider what both of them were saying. The kids decide that it was time for the cat to leave because their mom was coming home soon. Sally and the narrator stand for the ego because they took consideration for other people needs and met the need of the id.
Lastly, the fish stands for the story super-ego because when the story started the fish knew that it was wrong for the cat to be there when their mother was out. The fish said, “make that cat go away!” Which met that he didn’t want the cat there. The fish also said “he should not be here when your mother is out is out” Basically the fish went the cat to go away.

Government is necessary because without laws people would be out of order. The reason that is true because without laws robbers would be running lose breaking and entering. It would also be under age drinking and driving. The human nature would be brutish and short. We need laws to preserve order in our society.
